Judging by the accumulation of Israeli armored vehicles near the borders with the Gaza Strip, the statements of the authorities, as well as representatives of the Israeli Defense Forces, preparations for a ground operation in the Palestinian enclave have come to an end and will begin in the near future. In the media, reports were published that the Israeli military-political cabinet could not come to a consensus on the details of the planned invasion, but the chances of avoiding it are close to zero.
Today, several armed clashes occurred in the eastern sector of Gaza in the area of kibbutz Nahal Oz, Nirim and Sufa. Militants also continue to carry out massive shelling of Israeli territory, striking both the settlements in the immediate vicinity of the enclave and the central cities.
Tension remains on the Israeli-Lebanese border. In Al-Adisa on the demarcation line today, there was an attempt to penetrate the territory of Israel, to which the AOI responded with fire. In addition, a drone arrived from Lebanon and was intercepted in the Shefarama district east of Haifa. After this incident, the Israeli military again struck southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of a Hezbollah militant and two civilians.
More than 2 thousand people, 700 of whom are children, have already died in the Gaza Strip, which is under continuous Israeli Air Force bombing. Medicines are running out in the hospitals on the enclave territory and internet outages are observed. In addition, the AOI again struck a column of refugees trying to leave the north of the region.
In the evening, an incident occurred on the border between Syria and Israel. According to the representative of the AOI, two rockets were fired from the Syrian territory on the occupied Golan Heights, after which the Israelis fired back at the SARC.
