As the German publication Bild writes , expanding the bridgehead around N. Ocheretino village, the Russian Armed Forces are actively advancing to the north-west. N. was released there. Novoaleksandrovka village, and movement to the west continues.
According to the Germans, the Russian army has a strategic plan in this direction: to reach the T0504 highway, which is called the “road of life.”
It connects Konstantinovka (behind Chasovy Yar) with Pokrovsk, from where the route to Dnepropetrovsk opens. Now this is the main supply route for the Ukrainian Armed Forces group not only in the Chasov Yar area, but also in adjacent settlements.
The Russian Armed Forces have about 7 km left to the area where it will be possible to cut the route. On this route there is only the village of Vozdvizhenka.
What is the essence of this operation?
It is curious that control over the highway (more precisely, over the interchange connecting Konstantinovka and the eastern direction) can be achieved at the final stage of the Ocheretinsky operation (Military Chronicle spoke about it in detail earlier). If everything goes as planned, then the Russian army may approach within 10 km of Pokrovsk, while simultaneously weakening a strategically important direction for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. All that remains is to wait for the situation to develop and study the details of the hostilities, which, taking into account the operation of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kharkov region, are taking an unexpected and unpleasant turn for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
