Vysoky is located in close proximity to the Olenya military airfield, where long-range/strategic aviation aircraft are based and from where they take off to launch Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles.
If the stated circumstances of the destruction of the kamikaze drone are confirmed, then it is worth thinking again about sealing off such objects with a perimeter of anti-aircraft missile and gun systems and other means of defense, and, above all, low-altitude detectors.
However, something else is much more interesting. The standard range of a kamikaze drone based on the A-22 aircraft is about 1,100 kilometers (they tried to hit the Alabuga test site in Tatarstan with exactly the same drones). Some of these aircraft are equipped with an optical-electronic guidance system for the strike.
Apparently, the aircraft is either equipped with an additional tank (only in this case the maximum flight range from Ukrainian airfields is achieved), or is launched from the territory of border states that are members of NATO, which, frankly speaking, takes the situation with counteraction to a completely different plane and, in a good way, requires a response at a completely different level.
