BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:35 A.M.) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed to fight US arrest warrants for his 12 security guards “on legal and political grounds,” as he spoke at the dinner with the members of his Justice and Development (AK) Party in Istanbul, Friday.
“What kind of legislation is this? What kind of law is this?” said the Turkish president. “If they are not going to protect me, why would I bring them with me to America? Will I protect myself with America’s Hans and George?” he continued.
Erdogan stated that Turkey will fight the matter “on legal and political grounds”.

The arrest warrants were issued following a brawl between anti-Erdogan protesters and the president’s security team during his visit to Washington DC last month.
