BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:10 A.M.) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israeli security forces were preparing to demolish the homes of those believed to have carried out Friday’s deadly killing of an Israeli police officer.
Speaking during a weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem on Sunday, Netanyahu added that Palestinians’ permits to visit Israel, approved for Ramadan, had been revoked. He continued, “I call on the countries of the world to condemn both the murder and those who praise it.”

The self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIL/ISIS) has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, Hamas allegedly rejected the claim in a statement, saying the attackers belonged to its ranks.
