To acquire residency, one only needs to spend €250,000 on property purchases, or buy a hotel or tourist furnished apartments in a timeshare contract. The main applicant’s spouse, their parents and children under 21 years of age are also eligible for residence.
According to state investment agency Enterprise Greece, the country granted investors 2,300 golden visas (5,700 visas, including those issued to family members) between 2013 and 2017. Chinese, Russian, Turkish, Iraqi and Lebanese nationals received the most residence permits – about 80% of all the visas issued.

H Σουηδία έγινε η πρώτη χώρα που αξιοποιεί τη νέα συνθήκη της ΕΕ περί «αυτόνομης» και όχι συλλογικής αντιμετώπισης του προβλήματος των παράνομων μεταναστευτικών ροών, κυρίως από χώρες της Μέσης Ανατολής και ουσιαστικά κλείνει τα σύνορά της!
Η παραδοσιακή σουηδική πολιτική «ανοικτών θυρών» σε όσους ήθελαν να μεταναστεύσουν στην Σουηδία (μην ξεχνάμε ότι τον άλλοτε πρωθυπουργό της χώρας, σοσιαλδημοκράτη Ολαφ Πάλμε, τον είχε δολοφονήσει μουσουλμάνος κουρδικής καταγωγής, αλλά ουδόλως άλλαξε η μεταναστευτική πολιτική τότε) ανήκει πλέον στο παρελθόν.

Διαλύεται ο κυβερνητικός σχηματισμός πλέον. Τα απόνερα των Πρεσπών καταστρέφουν ΣΥΡΙΖΑ-ΑΝΕΛ, με τους πολίτες να τους στρέφουν πλέον την πλάτη.
Το σημαντικό σε αυτή την δημοσκόπηση είναι το εξής. Ελαβε χώρα από Μέσο το οποίο ξεκάθαρα είναι φιλικά διακείμενο προς ΣΥΡΙΖΑ και κυβέρνηση. Αυτό τα λέει όλα πλέον.
Ούτε τα ΜΜΕ που έχουν συμπάθεια προς τους Κυβερνητικούς δεν μπορούν πλέον να αποκρύψουν την πραγματικότητα.
Η δημοσκόπηση της Αlco και του Kontra, η οποία παραδοσιακά καταγράφει μικρές διαφορές ανάμεσα στη Νέα Δημοκρατία και τον ΣΥΡΙΖΑ καταγράφει και αυτή πλέον άνοιγμα της ψαλίδας ανάμεσα στα δύο κόμματα.
Συγκεκριμένα καταγράφει διαφορά 7,2 μονάδων υπέρ της Νέας Δημοκρατίας όταν η προηγούμενη μέτρηση πριν από ένα μήνα την έφερνε στις 5,5 μονάδες.
Σύμφωνα με τα ευρήματα της πανελλαδικής δημοσκόπησης στην πρόθεση ψήφου επί των εγκύρων η ΝΔ λαμβάνει ποσοστό 26,4% και ο ΣΥΡΙΖΑ βρίσκεται στο 19,2%. Στην τρίτη θέση βρίσκεται το ΚΚΕ με ποσοστό 6,9% και ακολουθεί η Χρυσή Αυγή και το ΚΙΝΑΛ με 6%.
Η δημοσκόπηση που έγινε αμέσως μετά την συμφωνία Τσίπρα – Ζάεφ στις Πρέσπες, δείχνει ότι οι ΑΝΕΛ βρίσκονται σε διαδικασία αποσύνθεσης καθώς λαμβάνουν ποσοστό 1,2%, πολύ μακρία από τον στόχο του 3% που θα τους επιτρέψει να μπουν στην επόμενη βουλή.
Αντίθετα, οριακό είναι το ποσοστό που συγκεντρώνει η Ένωση Κεντρώων η οποία εμφανίζεται στο 2,9%.

How do molecules, cells, neurotransmitters, and other brain “stuff” create the abstract experience of self-awareness? Despite massive breakthroughs in the field of neuroscience over the last century, this question continues to baffle both scientists and philosophers.
In his new book, The Consciousness Instinct: Unraveling the Mystery of How the Brain Makes the Mind (Farrar, Strauss, and Giroux, 2018), Michael Gazzaniga, a professor of psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and director of the university’s SAGE Center for the Study of the Mind, examines what he refers to as this “problem of consciousness.”
And, he notes, the fact that the word “consciousness” means different things to different people and is influenced by personal, cultural, and religious stories adds yet another layer to the complexity of the problem.

State and local governments have sued a host of drugmakers, alleging they deceptively marketed opioids and seeking to recoup what it costs to treat people addicted to the drugs.

(MEE) — The international community on Wednesday voted to boost the powers of the global chemical weapons watchdog to enable it to name those behind toxic arms attacks in Syria, delegations attending the talks said.
“The #UK Decision at the @OPCW Conference of State Parties has passed with votes 82 in favour,” the British delegation, which tabled the proposal, said in a tweet, adding 24 countries were against the measure.

(MEE) — The international community on Wednesday voted to boost the powers of the global chemical weapons watchdog to enable it to name those behind toxic arms attacks in Syria, delegations attending the talks said.
“The #UK Decision at the @OPCW Conference of State Parties has passed with votes 82 in favour,” the British delegation, which tabled the proposal, said in a tweet, adding 24 countries were against the measure.

The market looks downright ugly.
Yesterday’s bounce attempt fizzled shortly after lunch as the major averages sunk deep into the red. The Dow Jones Industrial Average coughed up more than 160 points and closed the day at its lows.
