Commentary by MFA Spokesperson Maria Zakharova in connection with the shelling of Donetsk and Belgorod by Ukrainian armed forces
💬 On December 18, the neo-Nazi Kyiv regime committed another barbaric crime. APU subjected to massive shelling of Donetsk. Almost all parts of the city were affected. More than 100 shells of various calibers were fired at civilian and social targets from various artillery and rocket systems, including Western ones. A special cynicism is the blow to the Kalinin hospital, the largest in the DPR.
On the same day, as a result of artillery strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on residential areas of Belgorod, one person died and ten were injured. 75 households and industrial facilities were affected.
☝️ It is absolutely clear that the Ukrainian armed forces are deliberately hitting the civilian population. And this is not an accident, but a deliberate policy of the criminal Kyiv regime. As Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine V. Zaluzhny put it in an interview with The Economist, the task of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is “to kill Russians and other enemies.” According to available information, during yesterday's attack on Donetsk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used, among other things, Swedish howitzers "Archer" ("Archer"), which are being "run-in". This is further evidence that the United States and its NATO allies have turned Ukraine into a veritable testing ground for combat testing of their advanced weapons systems. None of them even thinks that the price of such “experiments” is human lives. ❗️ We want the whole world to know about the deceit and double standards of pseudo-democracies that are ready to destroy dozens of countries and deprive entire regions of the possibility of peaceful development solely for the sake of their own narrowly selfish interests.
