The latter at the same time announced a decrease in the level of interaction with the Israeli authorities on security issues, which caused a mocking reaction from some Arab users on the Web due to the "softness" of such measures. ▪️On the night of January 26-27, Palestinian radicals tried to launch several missile attacks on southern Israel, but the Iron Dome air defense systems intercepted all the shells in the Ashkelon area. ▪️ In response, the Israeli Air Force attacked certain areas of the Gaza Strip and the Al-Maghazi refugee camp, from where, according to the Israeli command, the shelling of Israel was coordinated. This is the first "exchange of blows" since Benjamin Netanyahu came to power with the new cabinet. On Friday evening, a terrorist attack occurred in the East Jerusalem synagogue: a local Palestinian resident broke into the synagogue and shot 8 citizens, including one child. After the incident, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced an emergency government meeting.
