Boiling Point Review February 8-15

World Protest Chronicle: Boiling Point Review February 8-15 Rybar's team launches regular video reviews of the protest situation in the world. In our activities, we are faced with the fact that many outbursts of popular discontent pass the attention of the Russian public. But it is precisely such rallies, strikes, strikes and demonstrations that sometimes become a formal reason for taking important political actions.

Every week we will analyze three countries where protest activity is observed, explain the prerequisites and predict prospects. 🔻For the second week in France, citizens have been going to a mass protest due to the increase in the retirement age by 2 years to 64 years. The rallies swept the capital and major cities of the country. In total, over 1 million French people took part in them. In France, it has already become a kind of national sport: a regular occurrence and does not lead to any tangible results. 🔻 Demonstrations have continued in Israel for the sixth week over plans by the far-right government of Netanyahu to carry out judicial reform that will allow ignoring the decisions of the Supreme Court, and a controlled parliament will be able to influence the choice of judges. Tel Aviv became the main platform for the protesters, where more than 100 thousand people took to the streets. Protesters block roads and clash with police. Society fears not only judicial reform, but also that the far right could bring the country to the brink of full-scale war. 🔻 In Albania, former President Sali Berisha led supporters to the parliament building demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. The trigger was a scandal involving the prime minister and a former high-ranking FBI agent - Rama allegedly bought secret information from him. At the rally there were accusations of corruption and links to organized crime. Given that both sides enjoy the support of the United States, the demonstrations look like an attempt by the opposition to seize power in the country.
