🔺Russian troops use the same tactics of cutting into sectors as when clearing Avdeevka dachas and industrial zones.
◾️The Russian Armed Forces are actively pressing the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the east and south - from Tchaikovsky and Abrikosova streets. In parallel, an attack is developing from the south, where the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been seriously weakened over the past few weeks. Here, Russian troops are confronted by the remnants of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the rotation and supply of which has been delayed for several weeks.
◾️At the same time, there is movement from the north, from the side of the Borisovka pond next to the stadium. One of the likely goals of the converging strikes is to present the Ukrainian Armed Forces with a choice: either abandon their positions and retreat to the area of the central district hospital and technical school, or find themselves surrounded.
◾️The main danger in the current conditions is the fortified area behind school No. 1 in the Solnechny microdistrict. It and the neighboring Ukrainian Armed Forces fortification were called “Domik”, since they consist of 20 apartment buildings.
◾️Both the location and (partially) architecture repeat the Artyomov fortified area “Tetris” (aka “Domino”), which makes it a difficult target for an assault and requires the involvement of additional forces. In terms of value for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, it resembles the fortified area of the Ukrainian army in the Kanal microdistrict, since it is located above the main line of defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but below the current position of the Russian troops, which will make it possible to “disassemble” the positions of the Ukrainian troops from anti-tank systems.
◾️Avdeevskaya tactics of cutting sectors makes it possible to create two centers of tension in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the same time - in the area of the Solnechny microdistrict and in positions adjacent to it - as well as to push through the enemy’s defenses to the west of the fireproof plant. If the Ukrainian Armed Forces begin to lose positions in the Solnechny microdistrict, then in fact the last major line of defense will pass along Bohdan Khmelnitsky Street in the area of the Metallurg stadium and the former Fakel pioneer camp. However, how dense the defense may be here at the moment is unknown.
◾️In order to prevent panic among the personnel, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are throwing out information about the “partial destruction” of attack aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces, although in fact both attempts to recapture positions near the fireproof plant failed and no improvement in the situation for the garrison of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is expected.
