🇦🇷🛬💥 — SOCIAL CRISIS: with inflation and poverty rising in Argentina, dozens are sheltering at the capital's ‘Aeroparque’ airport.
The airport, known as 'Aeroparque', has become practically a night shelter for the homeless. As soon as passengers begin to arrive, some of those staying overnight leave to spend the day in cafeterias, while others stand at the airport begging for change at traffic lights and some sit in chairs mingling with travelers.
It is a stark reflection of rising poverty in a country where one of the world's highest inflation rates is making it difficult for many to survive.
“If I 
pay rent, I don't eat. And if I pay for food, I'm on the street,” said Roxana Silva, who has lived at the airport with her husband, Gustavo Andrés Corrales, for two years. Although Argentina has been accustomed to double-digit inflation for years, this was the first time that annual consumer price increases reached triple digits since 1991.
