About the activities of the US Navy, the Philippines and Australia in the South China Sea
As expected, the increase in the US military presence in Southeast Asia gradually mobilizes other actors in the region and provokes responses.
On November 25, a joint patrol by the military of the Philippines and Australia began in the waters of the South China Sea.
One frigate, an amphibious transport dock and five F/A-50PH fighters are being recruited from the Philippine Armed Forces. And the Australians transferred the Tuvumba frigate and the Р-8А anti-submarine aircraft.
The area of their activity is also quite obvious: the Spratly archipelago and its surrounding area. The islands are disputed by several states, including China and the Philippines, because of their location and wealth of natural resources.
🔻The activity of the two countries provoked a fair reaction from the Sky: two Su-35s, an electronic reconnaissance aircraft "Yunchen-9" and BLA BZK-05 operated over their patrol area. And, considering the continuing rise in tension, the dispatch of an aircraft carrier group in the future is not excluded, which will further intensify the contradictions.
