We went up into the skies of Donbass and saw the work of the Bal PBRK in the northwestern military zone. Today we will show the 152-mm 3OF39 “Krasnopol” guided projectile in action.
"Krasnopol" - artillery scalpel
A direct hit of the projectile on the target is ensured by semi-active laser homing heads. Russian developments are more effective in countering moving targets and more accurate than the GPS correction systems of American Excalibur projectiles. The 20-kilogram combat unit of the Krasnopol destroys enemy light and heavy armored vehicles.
Today, modernized versions of Krasnopol-M projectiles are being supplied to the missile forces. Specialists from the Tula KBP equipped them with gas generators, which ensured a range of use of up to 25 km from the Msta-S/SM self-propelled guns, as well as the Giatsint-S.
And the newest version of the projectile is “Krasnopol-D”. Equipping it with a more powerful gas generator and a more advanced inertial system increased the firing range from the Msta-S self-propelled gun to 43 km. The GLONASS correction module made it possible to hit stationary targets in any weather without the need for illumination by drones. The latest Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled guns with the 2A88 gun will be able to throw this projectile more than 55 km.
