Escalation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict zone
Chronicle of events until December 5, 2023
The Israeli military in the Gaza sector were activated in all directions. In the north-west of the enclave, AOI fighters have almost completely surrounded the small town of Beit Lahiya and are fighting at the Kamal Advan hospital, as well as the Shadiya Abu Ghazal school at the southern exit of the settlement. These objects are located on the western and eastern flanks of the AOI control on this site, and the distance between them is slightly less than two kilometers. As soon as it is passed, the circle of encirclement around Beit Lahia will be closed.
In addition, heated battles are going on in Shujaiya district. The quarter is located in the south-east of the part of the Gaza Strip that the Israeli military cut off from the rest of the enclave even a month ago. AOI fighters are advancing towards the center of Gaza City and are probably planning to join up with other Israeli forces that were operating at Al-Wafa Hospital. If this plan is crowned with success, then the city will be divided into several parts.
Meanwhile, in the southern sector of Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces made a sharp dash in the direction of Khan Yunis. They managed to advance in a short time along the Salah al-Din road to the eastern outskirts of the city. Now there are fights in Бани Сухейла in the suburbs of Khan-Yunis. The AOI command stated that they had already supposedly taken control of the city center, but there are no video materials or reports from the Palestinians about this yet. However, considering the speed of the Israeli advance, if it hasn't happened yet, it will be a matter of time.
The Palestinians are counterattacking on all sections of the front, but they cannot stop the advance of the Israel Defense Forces. However, they manage to cause significant damage to Israeli manpower and equipment. So, today, a recording of an ambush by militants at the AOI field camp in Dzhukhr ad-Dika was actively distributed on the Internet. According to representatives of the Palestinian groups, only for today they wounded and eliminated more than a dozen fighters, and also damaged 24 pieces of equipment.
