▪️Due to the artillery fire of the “northern”, the Ukrainian infantry began to dig in in the forests west of Volchansk. According to the Military Chronicle, the infantry units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in violation of the order, refuse to move in columns and are preparing positions in the nearest forests - in the Tatarsky tract, around the Kholodny Yar ravine, as well as in all adjacent forests 10-12 km west of the city.

▪️At the moment, almost all the reinforcements arriving from the Donetsk direction are in the forests. The situation is almost the same as in the Kremensky forest.

▪️In villages neighboring Volchansky, raids by nationalist battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began on the houses of local residents. The formal reason is that they are looking for “guides” among the locals, but in reality there is looting and robbery.

▪️Replenishment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ vanguard in this direction has not yet led to anything. The 36th Marine Brigade, 82nd Separate Shock Brigade and 42nd Mechanized Brigade are actively losing marching battalions, which in some cases are destroyed while receiving weapons and equipment in the rear.

▪️The previous few weeks of fighting forced the above-mentioned brigades to suspend their attempts to advance, but a repeat of this should be expected in the near future.

▪️As in previous major operations, remote mining systems “Agriculture” began to actively operate in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. With their help, not only the movement of Ukrainian military equipment, but also the movement of infantry entrenched in the forests is noticeably complicated.

▪️In Volchansk itself there is a heavy battle for the city center, through which, if successful, Russian troops will be able to reach Rubezhanskoye Highway.

▪️According to the prisoners, the Armed Forces of Ukraine regard the loss of the south of Volchansk as a serious problem at the operational level, due to which the Russian group will have the opportunity to break into the area of ​​the Prikolotnoye junction station. Access to Prikolotnoye, in turn, will open up the possibility of hanging over the Kupyansk group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the foreseeable future.
