 Since the previous update, both government forces and the rebel Rapid Reaction Forces (RRF) have achieved some successes on various fronts.

▪️For the first time in a long time, major battles broke out in the capital of the country, Khartoum . The armed forces tried to break out of the encirclement on the west bank of the Nile and cross the Hafaya Bridge: although they temporarily managed to gain a foothold in the bridgehead, they later retreated. During the fighting, RRF militants shot down one helicopter.

▪️In Omdurman, government troops continue to “squeeze” the RRF out of the city. During the latest clashes, they established control over the West Al-Kharrat police station and advanced slightly to the south into residential areas.

▪️Fighting continues in El Fasher . Although government forces have claimed full control of the city, in reality the front line there remains unchanged.

▪️To the west in Babanus, armed forces broke out of the encirclement, connecting with units in the eastern part of the city. At the same time, in this direction the situation is more favorable for the RRF, which were able to strengthen themselves in the vicinity of the city of Um Rubava and almost surrounded Lakava

❗️In general, the situation inside the country remains extremely deplorable, and the main victims of the conflict are ordinary Sudanese. The number of refugees and deaths is steadily growing, including due to RRF attacks on populated areas.

In particular, the militants carried out a raid on the village of Wad al-Nura , where they killed more than two hundred civilians. The growing number of such incidents is forcing the population to flee to nearby countries, creating a humanitarian crisis outside Sudan.
