Hyderabad roads turn adventure tracks

Hyderabad may be a wannabe Singapore, but for ages now, the roads have been bad turning to worse with the slightest hint of rain. Further, the downpour leads to more number of pot holes adding to the existing ones resulting in traffic jams even after the rain stops. The flyovers (like the Punjagutta one) has damaged parts that get further spoiled, and you see traffic stopping daily on an otherwise smooth stretch.
The Metro Rail is only adding to the woes as it has no proper outlet for the accumulated water and it pours down along the stretch creating nuisance to the people on two wheelers, who deviate their course to avoid these makeshift “waterfalls”. It can be a ‘basti’ or the poshest of localities and gated communities, the approach roads undergoing constant digging have turned mushy, muddy and water logged, and have become dangerous to commute. Hyderabadis continue to deal with it – they fume, lament, get angry – as they go on with everyday life
I can see customized swimming pools to all the apartments in my lane. Some lanes are flooded like rivers. Dear GHMC officers, please do quick repairs in our localities also as you do at CM’s and other minister’s roads. Wee too live in Hyderabad guys.

Hyderabad has come to such a pass that it is difficult to tell whether you are going on a road or on potholes. It would be better to rename the GHMC as Crater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.

Water logging ho ra to jagjit singh ka ghazal suno "wo kagaz ki kashti" aur road pe boat chalao , enjoy karo , jai Telangana bolo , enjoy karo , don't be a pessimist!

West Marredpally and Begumpet roads are the worst. We wonder why that every year there are road repairs and subsequently after it rains few times the roads become pathetic

The stretch of ISB Road from Gachibowli signal to Wipro has been completely dug up for some construction business and hence there has been a huge traffic problem for people navigating to work. Only one side of the road is available for use and both the ends of traffic ply on that one side. So even covering a stretch of 3kms is taking more than 45mins - 1 hour
Now with rain the construction has been stopped. So, there are pot holes filled with stagnant water and once the rain stops and it dries loads of dust is flying around along with stones

I was feeling so bad when the rain water was pouring (rather draining) down from the Metro Rail slab right onto the road (thus eroding the tar) or onto the bed of recently planted plants. The whole manured red mud was flowing onto the road.
My heart melts to see so much rain water go waste. We spend so much, why don't we make an arrangement for storing this rain water?
Also, what's with those pouring shower heads under every Metro Rail slab?
Like are these Llego constructions, that are totally unplanned?

Totally enjoying my morning adventure rides through the superawesome roads. We are so blessed to have these adventure spots right in the heart of Hyderabad. With music full on and these roads, can I ask for anything more. Any one wanna join me in these jaunts at the end of the drive? I promise you an unbelievable underwater destress session.

Monsoon and bad roads go hand in hand in Hyderabad, or so it appears. A commute from my home in Secunderabad to my office in Madhapur would take me just about 45 minutes to an hour and now it takes me about 1.5 hour just to get to work, even more during peak hours. All thanks to bad roads. GHMC should stop scouting for temporary fixes and come up with something that is potentially a permanent solution. It takes just one heavy downpour to ruin the roads of Hyderabad and for how long will we Hyderabadis have to put up with this?
